RePhotography Workshop with Gary McLeod

Outline:
This rephotography workshop will teach participants to creatively explore visual change with a camera and English. Using old images of Tokyo, participants will join Gary to visit a chosen location in Tokyo and learn to apply the methodology of rephotography. Through conversation, Gary will then work with each participant to creatively express their thoughts and feelings using their camera. Open to all levels and ability, the workshop is an opportunity to learn more about photography, creativity, and history while also practicing English. Photographic skills are not necessary to participate.

Rephotographyとは、現在と過去の変化や時間の流れを、写真を通して表現する世界的にも知られている写真技法の一つです。例えば、東京駅。昔と現在で趣が全く異なりますね？その変化と不変の要素を、昔の写真と現在の写真を融合することで表現します。
それが、Rephotograhy。
今回のWorkshopではカメラと英語を楽しみながら厳選された東京の場所（一か所）を散策します。
参加者の方々がそれぞれが感じたことや発見を、カメラを通して創造的に表現する方法を引き出していきます。参加者の方々の写真の専門知識や技術を問わず、英語でコミュニケーションしながら写真、創造性、歴史の理解を深めるためのワークショップです。
