12 NATIONS SEAL HISTORIC PACIFIC TRADE DEAL: What This Means to YOU!!
THE TPP AGREEMENT REACHED NEARLY ONE WEEK AGO IS A HALLMARK IN GLOBAL RELATIONS. IT IS THE MOST SWEEPING FREE TRADE AGREEMENT IN WORLD HISTORY. IT WILL REVOLUTIONIZE THE TRADING AND OTHERS ASPECTS OF RELATIONSHIPS OF ALL GLOBAL PLAYERS. THIS MEANS NOT ONLY THE TWELVE NATIONS INCLUDING THE UNITED STATES AND JAPAN AND TEN OTHERS THAT INKED IT. IT WILL ALSO DRAMATICALLY EFFECT THEIR RELATIONS WITH "NON-SIGNERS". BOTH THOSE INCLUDED AND THOSE "NOT INCLUDED"IN THE TRANS PACIFIC TRADE AGREEMENT WILL NEVER AGAIN BE THE SAME.
THE RATIFICATION OF THE TPP BY LEGISLATIVE BODIES IS NOW THE SUBJECT OF MUCH DEBATE AND CONTROVERSY IN THE UNITED STATES. THERE DIVERSE GROUPS ARE SEEKING TO UNDERMINE IT. ONE IS THE SO-CALLED "TEA PARTY REPUBLICANS" . OTHERS ARE THE TWO MAJOR DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: HILLARY CLINTON, WHO UNTIL YESTERDAY WAS A SUPPORTER OF TPP, AND BERNIE SANDERS, WHO IS LEADING CLINTON IN KEY STATES. IN JAPAN THERE IS ALSO LESS COLORFUL AND MORE SCATTERED OPPOSITION TO IMPLEMENTING THIS AGREEMENT.
I HAD PREDICTED IN A MAJOR PRESENTATION BEFORE THE HIROO ROTARY ALMOST EXACTLY ONE YEAR AGO THAT IT WOULD TAKE ONE YEAR (MORE) FOR THE PARTICIPATING NATIONS TO COME TO AN AGREEMENT. IT DID-ALMOST TO THE HOUR!!
I NOW PREDICT THAT A NEW AND EVEN MORE POWERFUL PROCESS WILL ELECTRIFY THE PUBLIC IN BOTH the UNITED STATES AND JAPAN. BUT I ALSO PREDICT THAT FOLLOWING FURIOUS DEBATE AND DISCUSSION THAT THE TPP WILL BE RATIFIED BY ALL OF THE GOVERNMENTS OF THE PARTICIPATION NATION AND TAKE EFFECT. ONCE IT DOES GLOBAL TRADE, FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT, AND EVEN OTHER ASPECTS OF GLOBAL RELATIONS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.
WILL ENGLISH BECOME A "SECOND LANGUAGE OF SORTS" AMONGST COMPANIES IN JAPAN IN THE SECTORS MOST HEAVILY IMPACTED BY THE TPP? WHAT ARE THOS SECTORS THAT WILL BE FOREVER CHANGED? WILL OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND FOR NEW AND CLEVER ENTREPRENEURS IN JAPAN? IS THIS THE SECOND CROSSROADS FOR JAPAN, OVER 160 YEARS AFTER COMMODORE MATTHEW PERRY AND THE "BLACK SHIPS" OPEND UP JAPAN TO THE WEST? HOW WILL TPP IMPACT THE "HOLLOWING OUT" OF THE NORTHERN REGIONS OF JAPAN? HOW WILL IT ALL IMPACT YOU? AND YOUR COMPANIES? AND YOUR FAMILIES?
IN THREE (2.5) HOUR MODULES YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SORT ALL OF THIS OUT WITH ME AND WITH MY COMPANY, KK WORLD WITHOUT BORDERS <KK WWB>. CUTTING EDGE MATERIALS INCLUDING VIDEOS WILL BE THE FOUNDATION OF THIS THREE PART SEMINAR SERIES. THEN, VIGOROUS AND STIMULATING INTERACTIVE DEBATE AND DISCUSSION WILL FOLLOW. JUST SAY YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! SEATS ARE LIMITED!
第1回 UNDERSTANDING THE HISTORY OF THE TPP
Did you know that the TPP actually had a modest beginning? Did you know that it comes out of a group of nations that originally did not include the United States? And can you imagine that some think that it has primary purpose much different than liberalizing trade. This Introductory Module is necessary to understanding the real value of the TPP. You will sort out the history by player, by original function, and by relationship to the other great expanding Superpowers that are not included – but will still be very much a part of the global trade patterns in Asia even after the TPP!
第2回 GRASPING THE PHILOSOPHY AND EFFECTS OF THE TPP
What market does the TPP open up? For whom? What legal rules does it tighten up? How many taxes will it eliminate? Philosophically, which two major allies fought with the United States before the Agreement could be penned? Just because the nations participating in the Negotiation and their representatives have confirmed the TPP, is it automatically global law? Who is opposing its finalization in the United States? Why? You will be surprised-in fact shocked, at some of the answers!! Just say that you heard it here first!!
第3回 SORTING OUT THE NITTY GRITTY
Using the Logic Triangle, and other paradigms of Results Analysis, we will look closely at the following issues: Is the TPP Good for Japan? Is it good for the United States? Is it harmful to the American Worker? Is it a boon for the Japanese Worker? How does all of this balance out? How does it impact other aspects of trade? Where will other aspects of World Trade, such as FDI, go from here?
